Job Title: Intellectual Property Legal Administrative Assistant
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio – Primarily In-Office (2 remote days per month)
Compensation: (flexible based on experience)
Aspen Careers is partnering exclusively with a respected law firm to identify an experienced IP Legal Administrative Assistant for their Cincinnati office. The firm is motivated to hire quickly.
This is a strong opportunity to join a growing intellectual property practice in a hot legal market where IP talent is in high demand.
Why You Should Apply:
Support approximately 4 IP attorneys in a fast-paced, growing practice
Manage USPTO e-filing and PCT filings for patent and trademark applications
Prepare patent prosecution documents including amendments, responses, IDS filings, and transmittals
Maintain and review IP docketing and coordinate updates with the docketing team
Join a collaborative Cincinnati office
Flexible start and end times within a 36.25-hour work week, full time position

The Ideal Candidate:
Minimum 3 years of IP legal experience (2 years of strong IP experience considered)
Strong experience with USPTO e-filing systems
PCT filings experience required
Experience supporting patent and trademark prosecution matters
Highly organized and detail-driven with strong deadline management skills
Self-sufficient and comfortable managing multiple competing priorities
Warm, professional, and collaborative personality suited for a smaller office environment
Willing to work onsite in downtown Cincinnati
