Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Interior Design Consultant in Parsippany New Jersey 07054  with $28.07/hr pay  for a 3-month contract, temp role opportunity.  Our leading franchising client is seeking a Consultant, Interior Design to join their Architecture, Design & Construction (AD&C) team. This role supports Design Managers in guiding hotel owners and franchisees through renovation and design review processes. The Consultant plays a key role in evaluating design submittals, ensuring compliance with brand standards, and facilitating communication between internal stakeholders and external design partners.

Key Responsibilities:  

Design Review & Support  

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for interior design-related inquiries. 
  • Review design submittals to ensure alignment with brand standards, quality expectations, and operational requirements. 
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to franchisees and their design teams. 
  • Collaborate with Design Managers to address complex design challenges and maintain consistent brand interpretation. 
  • Prepare reference materials, visual examples, and written responses to support owners and consultants. 

Collaboration & Communication  

  • Act as a liaison between hotel owners, franchisees, and internal departments throughout renovation projects. 
  • Partner with Design Managers, Brand Leaders, and Sourcing teams to resolve design-related issues. 
  • Participate in meetings and presentations with owners and senior leadership. 
  • Maintain detailed documentation of design reviews, inquiries, and resolutions. 

Administrative & Project Coordination  

  • Organize and maintain design review records and correspondence. 
  • Manage design resource libraries, finish samples, and standard documentation. 
  • Track project timelines and follow up to ensure smooth coordination between all parties. 
  • Support process improvements within the department. 

Technical Expertise  

  • Provide guidance on space planning, finishes, and FF&E selections. 
  • Ensure designs meet operational, safety, durability, and brand compliance standards. 
  • Stay current on hospitality design trends, materials, and industry innovations. 

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or equivalent experience 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospitality design or a related field 
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality design standards, building codes, and brand compliance 
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit 
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, PowerPoint, and Excel 
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
