Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will collaborate with leadership, accountants, and clients to deliver high-quality accounting services. The position combines hands-on accounting work, client advisory support, and review responsibilities to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Qualifications Required:

• 5+ years of accounting experience in public accounting or a similar environment
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online
• Strong understanding of account reconciliations and financial reporting
• Experience reviewing accounting work and maintaining quality standards
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and Teams
• Experience with QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online migrations
• Experience with payroll accounting

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounting & Financial Management
• Maintain and manage client books in QuickBooks Online
• Review QuickBooks files for accurate coding, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and transaction completeness
• Perform accounting clean-ups and catch-up work for clients with incomplete records
• Classify transactions and complete monthly reconciliations for bank, credit card, and liability accounts
• Tie out payroll liabilities and payroll-related expenses
• Perform QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online conversions when required

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly financial statement packages including Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss reports
• Deliver financial reports to clients and explain key results
• Conduct regular client check-in meetings to review financial performance and answer questions
• Complete year-end workpapers and prepare adjusting journal entries

Team Support & Review

• Review work prepared by accountants and bookkeepers to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Provide feedback and guidance to team members
• Troubleshoot QuickBooks issues for clients and internal staff
• Client Communication & Project Management
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding documentation and financial matters
• Maintain timely responses to client communications
• Manage tasks, deadlines, and workflows using firm systems and tools

Work Environment & Benefits:

• Salary range $70,000 - $90,000 depending on experience
