Position Overview

Lighthouse Schools is seeking an organized, professional, and detail-oriented School Secretary & Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our growing boarding school campus. This position plays an important role in communication, organization, student records, and front office support.

The ideal candidate is dependable, technology-comfortable, and able to balance administrative tasks in a fast-paced school environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain student attendance and school records
• Communicate with families regarding attendance, paperwork, scheduling, and school updates
• Assist with transcript updates, enrollment records, and admissions documentation
• Support tuition tracking, payment documentation, and office organization
• Assist with social media posts, newsletters, and school communications
• Answer emails, phone calls, and assist campus visitors
• Help organize student files, reports, and compliance documents
• Coordinate calendars, meetings, and administrative tasks as assigned
• Support school events, onboarding, and general front office operations

Qualifications

• Strong organization and communication skills
• Comfortable with Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and technology platforms
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
• Prior office, school, administrative, or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a growing school environment
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
