Overview:
Sentara is currently hiring a Patient Care Technician to work at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital located in Virginia Beach on the Stroke, Medicine, and Intermediate Care Unit 3D.
Hours/Shift:
Full-time, nightshift. 7pm to 7am
Department/Position Overview:
Stroke, Medicine, and Intermediate Care Unit 3D: Are you looking for a unit that is known for its Teamwork? Join our 3D team! Our RNs and Patient Care Technicians work very closely together to give excellent care to our patients. We have a stroke, medicine, and intermediate care patient population on our fast-paced, 20-bed unit. Test your skills and learn new ones with our great mix of patients! We are looking for candidates with a positive attitude and a willingness to work. Interviewed candidates are welcome to shadow our unit to see if this is the perfect fit for you!
As a Patient Care Technician with Sentara, you will have the opportunity to learn many new skills. From taking vitals to blood draws and daily care. The primary duties of this position include supporting the admission/discharge process, changing, bathing ambulating patients, drawing blood, foley catheter care, meeting patient needs while working under the direct supervision of a nurse. You will find that teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to provide the best care for our patients.
