Medical Coding Specialist

We are seeking a detail?oriented Medical Coding Specialist to support accurate coding and documentation for behavioral health services. This position plays a key role in optimizing reimbursement and maintaining high?quality, secure patient records. Onsite or Remote options available. $20-25/hr. to start depending on experience.

Medical Coding Specialist Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $20.00 to $25.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00am )

• Review clinical documentation and assign correct ICD?10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
• Ensure coding compliance with federal, state, and payer guidelines
• Support accurate and timely reimbursement processes
• Maintain secure, organized, and high-quality patient records
• Collaborate with billing teams and clinical staff as needed

Medical Coding Specialist Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous medical billing/coding experience (behavioral health or outpatient preferred)
• Certification: Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required
• Knowledge: Medical terminology, anatomy, and standardized coding systems
• Skills: Strong attention to detail Analytical thinking Proficiency with EHR software

• Applicant may be subject to a background check
• Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
