Job Description

Lial Catholic School is seeking a long-term substitute teacher to serve in our Primary Room (grades 1–3). This role begins August 1, 2026 and runs through December 18, 2026.

At Lial, our Primary Room is a multi-age, Montessori-inspired environment where students learn through curiosity, collaboration, and individualized progress. We are looking for someone who is warm, organized, flexible, and committed to helping each child grow academically and personally.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading daily instruction in a multi-age classroom (grades 1–3)
• Supporting students’ academic and social-emotional growth
• Collaborating with team teachers and specialists
• Maintaining a structured, engaging, and respectful classroom environment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; teaching experience preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Comfort in a collaborative, student-centered environment
• Alignment with Lial’s mission and values
