Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Controller to join our operations team. This role ensures accurate inventory management, supports production efficiency, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is dependable, analytical, and comfortable working in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify that all production and material forms are completed correctly.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to non-conforming paperwork.
  • Enter and maintain accurate data in IQMS, including: 
  1. End-of-shift production data
  2. Cycle count information
  3. Inventory transaction data
  • Ensure inventory transactions are completed correctly by all personnel moving inventory on the production floor.
  • Provide support to production, materials, and warehouse teams as needed.
  • Complete, document, and report cycle counts on inventory items.
  • Assist with inventory pull-backs.
  • Perform daily audits on production jobs, including cycle times, color, resin, and packaging verification.
  • Analyze and maintain production performance measurements for bonus and performance programs.
  • Conduct daily cycle counts and participate in full physical inventories.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Actively support CPM quality systems.
  • Provide daily documentation and feedback on production jobs.
  • Apply lean techniques to minimize inventory investment and improve material flow.

Qualities for Success

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse management and/or material handling.
  • Experience working with MRP systems.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Strong understanding of basic math.
  • Proficient with basic computer skills.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Forklift experience (certification preferred).

Physical & Mental Demands

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically capable of handling materials, supplies, and equipment as required.
  • Must be able to meet all physical and mental requirements necessary to perform essential job functions.

Work Environment

This role requires frequent work on the manufacturing floor. Employees may work near moving mechanical parts and may occasionally be exposed to:

  • Chemical or electrical shock risks
  • Fumes or airborne particles
  • Extreme heat
  • Moderate noise levels

Benefits

Health care insurance benefits available first of the month following 60 days of employment. Thirty (30) hours worked per week must be averaged in order to maintain coverage. 401k enrollment is available per the Secure Act guidelines.
