Job Description

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to lead residential and commercial design projects from concept through installation. This role is responsible for developing design concepts, creating detailed plans, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate has a refined design aesthetic, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote-first environment with occasional travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive design concepts, mood boards, and presentations
• Create detailed floor plans, elevations, and renderings using design software
• Specify furniture, fixtures, finishes, lighting, and materials
• Prepare client proposals, budgets, and project timelines
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors, and consultants
• Manage procurement, ordering, and installation processes
• Conduct virtual client meetings and occasional on-site visits
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
• Maintain accurate project documentation and specifications
• Stay current on design trends, materials, and industry standards

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional interior design experience
• Degree in Interior Design or related field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong understanding of space planning, color theory, and materials
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent client-facing communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high-end residential or boutique commercial design
• NCIDQ certification or working toward licensure
• Knowledge of FF&E procurement and vendor management
• Experience with 3D rendering tools
